Hack description

This is a hack which adds the Homing Attack/Jump Dash ability into Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genesis. This move is done by pressing jump while in mid-air. The homing attack will be triggered when close to objects such as enemies or monitors. Otherwise the Air Dash will be used and simply propel the player in a certain direction. A cool trailing effect is triggered when the player moves at top speed.

The patch is in xdelta format due to shifted data resulting in IPS patches containing original code. The ROM should be in BIN format.

While this hack is flawed, it's main feature works flawlessly. It's great to be able to play through the game and use the homing attack to progress through the game at high speeds. I can imagine a lot of modern Sonic fans getting into this hack.
