Hack description

This is a hack which makes Solieyu Belmont playable in Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge for Game Boy and Game Boy Color. Solieyu is the son of CVII:BR's main character (Christopher Belmont) and is encountered as a near-final boss in the original game. He can move and jump faster than Christopher did in the original game. The sprite has also been touched up.

There are two patches. One for the US version of CVII:BR for the original Game Boy and one for the Game Boy Color EU version of Konami GB Collection Vol.3 which is a compilation that has CVII:BR as an included game.

I like these castlevania hacks where they change the character to another Castlevania character. Gives you a chance to play through the game as a character from another Castlevania game. This time around you get to play as Solieyu. He don't have the same powers as he does when you fight him as a boss but that makes sense as he could only do that stuff cause he was possessed by Dracula. He plays the same as Christopher except he moves faster and can jump faster too. I enjoyed what I tried of this hack and seeing his sprite in the game had made me want to play through as him. This hack is appreciated.
