Hack description

This is a hack for the US version of Sonic 3D Blast on Sega Genesis. The hack removes the flicky collecting requirement meaning the player can progress through levels by merely reaching the exit. Flicky collecting has been removed entirely and the player will simply pass through them. This makes the game similar to traditional Sonic games.

Features of this hack were later incorporated in the hack called Super Sonic in Sonic 3D.

The patch is in xdelta format due to shifted data resulting in IPS patches containing original code. The ROM should be in BIN format.

2nd best way to play the gameMathUser29292016-06-10Version 1.2

This hack removes the objective of having to get all the Flickies before beating an area. This makes the game much more like a traditional Sonic game. But why do I say 2nd best way to play the game? There's a further hack on this site that not only uses this hack as the base, it adds the ability to play as Super Sonic.
