Made with the Fire Stingray in mindtoomanymareeps2022-09-21Version 1.0

This hack starts off with decent, if somewhat plain tracks, but by the final race of Queen League becomes something that was clearly designed around the Fire Stingray. Generally when playing F-Zero hacks, I like to pick the Golden Fox since it's got good acceleration, but once you get to Track 5 of Queen League, you are met with a jump that's a fair distance past a booster. The boost the Golden Fox gets from this booster wears off well before this jump, and unless you do a glitchy landing between the pit and track just before the pit, you cannot make it. It seems barely possible for the Blue Falcon, but the Fire Stingray will easily clear it.

Thinking this was a one-time thing, I picked the Golden Fox once more and went on to King League. Two races in, on Port Town 2, you are met with a booster jump that is 100% impossible with seemingly anything that isn't the Fire Stingray, and even that can barely make the jump. The rest of the King League has jumps like this. It's a real shame, because it's a real sore spot for the hack.

If you don't care about the other machines and love the Fire Stingray, give it a try. The track designs slowly gets crazier and crazier and it's a decent bit of fun. Otherwise, I can't really recommend it, due to the forced vehicle choice imposed on you.

Not perfect, but still a blast.Endymian2015-02-25Version 1.0

I started exploring F-Zero hacks because I kind of wanted to recapture that same feeling of wonder I got from playing it for the very first time.

This hack delivered on that pretty well. It was a familiar game, but with unfamiliar tracks that were quirky and clever (and-most importantly, that I hadn't memorized).

There are some glitches and wonky behavior when it comes to ramps and their positioning on the track (I have scooted off through a corner out into forever, taking damage slowly until I explode more than once) but it has actually been pretty hilarious so far and it doesn't kill the experience.

Final verdict: I like it!
