Comments: Who would've thunk that during my Mega Man 1 hack foray that a Touhou-themed hack would be among the better ones? Like Marisa herself, MegaMari has a lot of spunk and charm, largely expressed through its new sprites. For Touhou fans it's fun seeing what's altered (like how Big Eye is now a mech for Tewi), but there's plenty of solid gameplay for non-fans to enjoy as well. Occasionally it can get kind of annoying—there's an overabundance of Sniper Joes (Bomb Man's stage in particular)—but rarely does the design feel careless or half-assed. MegaMari is a very solid hack, one whose only real foible is that it lacks any of Touhou's spectacular music.

MegaMari (Rockman 1 hack) - A good hack, even for the presentdiablo6662022-01-05Version 1.0

You won't find global changes here. However, the author did a good job on the entire graphic part in this hack. Really, the graphic part has been well redesigned for the game "MegaMari"

Also, surprisingly - a complex, but honest Level Design. Gave a test, but not overloaded with objects, pits or spikes. I haven't seen such neat hacks for a long time.

Bosses have not changed in terms of AI, only graphically.

The hack has completely reworked levels, which gave some second wind to the game.

If you want a fair trial? The hack is just for you. I recommend others to try it out.

A fun time.ActionHenk2019-11-19Version 1.0

Very definitely a medium difficulty hack, except for one thing, the Yellow Devil fight. I feel like many people would say this is the hardest Yellow Devil they've ever fought, at least I can say that up to the current writing. I'm going through Mega Man hacks as we speak.

This is 40% sprite hack and 60% new game.

Some of the bosses have new weaknesses but their AI seems to be exactly the same as before. There is a special item to collect and it will be needed.

Graphics look clean and appealing but I'm not a Touhou fan.
