Mega Man 6 - Ridley X Hack 1

Comments: 6's Hack 1 is decent for what it is: a vanilla MM6 hack that changes very little. By this point Ridley has learned that Mega Man levels should be more than flat, boring hallways, and thus the stages are peppered with a pretty good assortment of enemies and tough jumps. There are some rough spots here and there, including large swathes of stages that feel barely changed from their original layout (Knight Man's spike crusher, Blizzard Man's ship), but it's an alright hack in the end. Nothing too impressive, although I do like how much you have to use your weapon abilities in the castle stages to avoid damage. For that alone, it gets the lightest of recommendations.

It's one of the ridley hacks aren't difficult. Most of level design is really good and simple. You can beat it in a short time although some of stages are difficult, but passable. I recommend it.

Ridley X has made plenty of Mega Man hacks.

His hacks are always interesting. He came up with good, fair level design with interesting here and there.

Some screens in between interesting stuffs are kind of filler, though, but overall, it's worth a play if you're looking for a good fun hack that doesn't require savestates.
