Hack description

The European release of Tales of Phantasia was surprising, they actually took the time to clarify the voice acting, clean up some of the menus, restore the brighter graphics from the Japanese version, and a few other minor things. It seemed perfect but there's always a catch, the menu font was a hideous all caps 5x8 monstrosity. The patch eliminates that wretched thing and even cleans up some of the games larger fonts.

Please note: This patch only works with the European release of Tales of Phantasia, do not try to apply it to the US release.

This patch delivers, and I do recommend it. I appreciate that the multi-language version of the game was targeted and the fonts (with special characters) were enhanced as well. So what are you waiting for? Download it now!

I downloaded this patch for my emulated euro version of the gba Tales of Phantasia. The text looks so much better and also has lower case letters which is really good. If only I could apply this to my real cartridge.
