Killer Instinct (USA).sfc (No-Intro 2011-12-24)
Killer Instinct (1.1)

Hack description

In light of news that Killer Instinct is getting a new game, it dawned on me that the original didn't have Eyedol as a selectable character by any normal means.

What this patch does is allow you to select Eyedol WITHOUT having to use the code on the VS. screen while having Cinder selected.

Feel free to enjoy him anytime with ease!

Works with Killer Instinct 1.1!

Works well... at firstG30FF2019-05-19Version 1.0

I was only able to get this patch to work with the Rev A version of the game, but it does exactly what it sets out to do. Eyedol is visible and selectable within the character select. However, it only works properly the first time you select him. When playing arcade mode, after your first match with Eyedol, when the next match starts you will be playing Cinder. If you then lose and return to the character select, none of the character portraits will match the chosen character. This also happens if you choose Eyedol in practice mode, then quit, and enter any other game mode.

This works exactly as it should with Eyedol being able to be selected in single player, two player or Tournament Mode with no issues at all.

I did see a graphical glitch on one occasion with a character sprite while cycling through the character select but I have not been able to replicate it since that time.

Great little hack!
