Hack description

It's the original game but with a twist. Link can't jump! While the world map and dungeon layouts are mostly unchanged, they have been designed with no jumping in mind. Included in the download is a Hard mode, Easy mode, and an Easy Mode with jumping enabled so you can play normally.

A Fun Little Gem for the CollectionDrag0nwind2015-03-22Version 1.2

I recently decided to show my love for icepenguin's hacks and finish Leaf as well as Shadow of Night. I guessed correctly that Leaf of Inertia would be the quicker playthrough, so, thought I'd leave a review since I have fully completed the Hard patch.

I didn't know what to expect with this hack from icepenguin, after playing Part 2, 3 and Journey. That is to say, I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it, because I love my Zelda II jumping quite a bit. I wasn't thinking about the Jump spell at first and realized it might not be too bad. Sure enough, I had a lot of fun.

The graphics from Journey and all the other features are great. I love my old skool graphics of course, but icepenguin did a good job spicing it up for these games.

I also liked how, as is mentioned, the layouts stayed fairly close to the original, but there are surprises across the board to keep you guessing.

Overall, I didn't find the hack too difficult, but it wasn't meant to be. With the uniqueness of having Jump disabled, the Journey graphics/music and new layouts, I got a lot of entertainment out of this hack and am glad I decided to give it a whirl.

If you're new to ROM hacks and like Zelda II, this is a great one to start with! A fun time for all, if you're interested in a unique adventure!

Thanks.. great job!
