Pokemon - Crystal Version (UE) (V1.1) [C][!]

Hack description

The third installment of the Emu Edition Pokemon Series is finally here.

A lot more work went into this hack than the other two.

Random encounters with high level Pokemon cannot be found, random third evolutions are also not in this game.

ALL trade evolution Pokemon have been modified to evolve in a different way, all of the wild Pokemon from GS are placed in their normal area, the starters from Gen 1 and 2 have locations around the 2 regions, the Celebi event from the Japanese Crystal has been repaired to work as normal, and lastly the safari zone has been semi restored... giving homes to some Pokemon...

A ReadMe.txt is included in the .rar file
This is an IPS patch and comes with the appropriate Patching Software.
A clean Crystal version (1.1) is required.

*GLITCHFIX: 1.3B was made because 1.3 had a game ending glitch any time you attempted to catch a Pokmeon. ReddestDream found the faulty bytes and after remaking the 1.3 patch it was found that those faulty bytes did not need to be altered. It seems 1.3 was glitched due to creator error, so if you have 1.3, please delete it and get 1.3B.

*UPDATE: The 1.3 update simply adds some rare items into the game. Like Light Ball and Bright Powder (and many more). All previous .sav files will work fine, just change the name (backing up your .sav is always recommended).

*UPDATE: The 1.2 update changes nothing except adding Bulbasaur and the Leaf Stones that were neglected in the first release. All previous .sav files will work fine (just rename them, and backing them up is recommended), this update is only helpful if you are trying to catch all 251 Pokemon.

Good, but the trades are badly doneFSBS2016-02-24Version 1.3B

As someone who loves Crystal, this is perfect for me. The only flaw is the in-game trade system, which I personally changed (with TradeEd) to exchanging the Johto Trio and Ho-Oh/Lugia for Mew/Mewtwo, as it seemed more balanced than trading a Krabby or an Abra. Maybe now I'll get around to completing my dex.

For the most part, awesome.DenverNugs2014-11-05-

This was exactly what I wanted. Normal Pokemon Crystal with the means to catch all of the unobtainable Pokemon. The only problem I have is some of the well rounded rare Pokemon are way too easy to obtain. Trading Abra for Moltres? Krabby for Articuno? I would change it in a way where you need to work to obtain these. Maybe having to give up a rarer Pokemon that you need to evolve or that has to be a certain level to trade. Of course these are optional so it's not detrimental to the game as a whole.

A great alternative to a clean crystal rom. I definitely recommend it if you're replaying the game.

Amazing - Thank You !pchc_lx2013-08-14-

Haven't played through this fully yet but registered just to say THANKS as this is something I've wanted / dreamt of for years and years. Finally being able to 'catch em all' instead of 'most, minus version exclusives, trade evolutions and event exclusives'.

Especially excited about the 'balance' or 'natural' attempt made here to simply return the missing content to it's naturally occurring location, rather than making it feel tacked on or cheap, handed to you.

Currently playing this on my android and couldn't be happier to finally 100% my favorite game ever, and -I think- the best and purest Pokemon version ever.

So you want to play plain Pokemon GSC on your Emulator, but have no way of trading for some reason? Pick this up. Right now. Everything is in a logical space (as opposed to locations being swapped everywhere, or every starter ever being dumped on one route) and the game plays exactly as you'd expect: Crystal as normal, except now you can catch everything. No, there's no overpoweredness to it outside the normal, everything is a reasonable level still. It's not just plain jane boring though, the Safari Zone is actually worth checking out. We've always wondered why it was never there when we first played, now it exists. The legendaries of RBY are in trade, but this is actually reasonable as you would need to trade for these either way.

Not a hiccup with the coding that I've seen, not with the Safari Zone even. A perfect game if you want to use everything, and especially if you never actually caught everything in GSC normally.
