A Little SloppyMother Kojiro2017-12-25Version 1.0

I do like the colorization hacks of old Game Boy games, and I understand that they are a little glitchy, so I approached this with that in mind, but I wasn't a big fan. It does glitch out fairly often, but it's not usually at a time when it will interfere with gameplay, so that didn't bother me much. What I didn't like were the actual color choices; there are a lot of harsh and/or clashing colors in almost every area. There was a lot of bright cyan, greens mixed with purples or reds, and several other combinations that just didn't work for me. It's also a little sloppy when it comes to where the sprites meet up. For example, Mario has blue overalls and black hair, but where they meet, the palette is wrong, because you can't split a palette within an 8x8 sprite; it's hard to describe, but you see this sort of thing with a lot of bootleg NES games. Those little bomb turtles in the Tree Zone turn all peach, except for one quarter that's black when you jump on them. I didn't play this the whole way through, but I checked out each Zone, and didn't particularly like what I saw. Chances are that you're playing this on an emulator, in which case you can make your own custom palettes; I'd recommend that. You could also try a different colorization hack; there are other options.

This is the definitive version of SML2!ShadowOne3332016-06-06Version 1.0

A lot of AAA GB games should have gotten this treatment officially, but thanks to these hackers we now have a proper DX version of this great classic!

The hack authors make a great team. Even tho they didn't officially work together by passing the ROM back and forth making changes in sessions. Drakon took on this hack after it was done and made it playable on emulators without big problems. This hack is highly recommended now that it is bug fixed.
