Comments: I don't have a lot to say about the first Ridley X Hack for Mega Man 5. Much of this hack is emblematic of Ridley's early work: flat hallways, unremarkable levels, and a mostly vanilla feel. Ridley includes some graphical tiles from other Mega Man games which is... at least something I guess, but it doesn't stop most of the levels from feeling very samey (and in the case of Wave Man and Charge Man, largely unaltered). Things pick up a bit in the endgame where Ridley gives the player a harder time, but enemy placement can feel cheap more than challenging (Dark Man 3). Not great, not terrible.
