Difficulty: EASY-MEDIUM (Dark Man/Castle is MEDIUM)

Comments: 5's Hack 2 is a fairly good vanilla hack, but it's not going to be for everyone. The increase to enemy health can be a bit too much at times, the Beat letters are placed in some really mean locations, and once you get to Dark Man's stage the hack gets ruthless. I'm talking about dozens of enemies guarding ledges and being placed in nigh-unavoidable spots, forcing you to really flex your weapon skills (the conveyor section in Dark Man 2 and pillar platforming in Wily 1 come prominently to mind). These are all interesting challenges however, at least in my opinion; one of the worst things a hack can do is bore you, and 5's Hack 2 is certainly no bore. Fun, but deserves one of those RIAA parental advisory labels.
