| Tough Hack But Really Nice | Teeporage777 | 2017-08-28 | Version 1.07 |
Okay, this hack is tough but it is beautiful. Love the music and the graphics. I played this on real hardware so I recommend this to be played on a emulator for save states because one may grow quite frustrated a times. I know I did a few times. The author put some major effort in this hack and I really appreciate the fact. Give it a play through. If you love a challenging hack that does not skimp on graphics and sound, you should really like this one. I sure did. With over one hundred exits, you will have plenty to do. Try to find them all.
| A cool start to frustration | Timaeus | 2015-12-26 | Version 1.07 |
The hack in general is quite good. Cool musics, cool graphics. The level design here is .. well ... more and less? I admit that those clever puzzles in that pyramid level and those hidden stuff were creative, that´s not the problem. The problem is the fact of the difficult keep growing and the game doesn´t accompany it. Why? Because the author start to HIDE THE CHECKPOINTS!!! Yes, instead of keeping the checkpoints in visible and reachable placements, as long as the game goes, he starts to hide then or removing then. WHAT THE HELL? Why this is so bad? Because of the game save system, that when if you game over, you´ll have to redo few stages, which means that you lost your time, and mainly because you´ll have to do the entirely stage again. I HATE save-state hacks. Every single time I had to save-state was because of the checkpoint that doesn´t pop on the screen. The main one that pissed me off at the max was that one in the 6° territory castle. When you reach the checkpoint room, there´s a moving platform and the checkpoint is at the very top of the screen. If you don´t thing fast and get that platform at time, surprise, you have sucked yourself and get trapped with the wizard enemy, forcing to suicide and start from the very beginning of the level. Seriously, that sucks. The hack starts fresh and cool, but the checkpoints placements(or unplacements)starts to f... you, FORCING to save-state. That all that this hack is all about. If the author had placed then well, this review would be only eulogy. If you still want to try it, go on, because it IS possible.
