Hack description

STORY - One day the kingdom of the peaceful Mushroom People was invaded by the Koopa, a tribe of turtles famous for their black magic. The quiet, peace-loving Mushroom People were turned into mere stones, bricks and even field horse-hair plants, and the Mushroom Kingdom fell into ruin.

The only one who can undo the magic spell on the Mushroom People and return them to their normal selves is the Princess Toadstool, the daughter of the Mushroom King. Unfortunately, she is presently in the hands of the great Koopa turtle king.

Mario, the hero of this story (maybe) hears about the Mushroom People's plight and sets out on a quest to free the Mushroom Princess from the evil Koopa and restore the fallen kingdom of the Mushroom People.

You are Mario! It's up to you to save the Mushroom People from the black magic of the Koopa!

ABOUT THE PATCH - Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels is on Side B as a bonus! It includes numerous bug fixes. A .pal file is also included, which greatly enhances the graphics of ALL Nintendo games.

I loved having the first 2 Super Mario Bros. games on a single Famicom Disk System.Vallenatero20152022-08-25Version 2.9

I have tried this hack, and I have really noticed that all the changes in this hack were for the better, as the shells of Koopa Troopas, Extra Life Mushrooms, Cheep Cheeps and Piranha Plants keep their green color. In addition, they added Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (also known as Super Mario Bros. 2 Japanese version) on the B side of the Famicom Disk System floppy disk. In short, this hack makes this multigame look official from Nintendo.

Excellent job!Szemigi2018-02-24Version 2.9

I never knew that I'll ever see a Super Mario Bros. + Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels compilation as a hack, but here it is! I'm happy to see it and thanks for your ASM knowledge, I can enjoy the 2 games together. I can only say that it is a very cool Famicom hack, which is worth to play in all cases.

As a tribute and respond, here's my NES hack for you: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3890/
