Hack description

Here is a full hack for Super Mario Bros. All the levels have been changed as well as the graphics. Also a slight change to the sound engine gives the music a slight difference in sound.

A challenging hack but also pretty funfrantik2022-05-27Version 1.0

This is a challenging hack but also pretty fun. I finally got through it after making a map, otherwise it might be a little tough to get through it without getting lost. There's a few tricks and curve balls thrown your way with the maze so look out. The main game is all one level but once you beat that, you are invited to try the "hard mode" which requires you to be skilled at various wall jumps and other advanced glitch techniques. I did not explore that part so not sure how long it is, but the first part is definitely worth checking out if you like a bit of a puzzle with your platforming.

This hack is what it claims to be, and more.gravitygoesup12020-07-24Version 1.0

This is a tentative recommendation for this hack. I say this because this hack is not only a maze and keeps on going and going and going, but because this hack is hard as shit. The platforming, enemies, and the freaking fire bars WILL kick your ass, again and again.

However the graphics look amazing and he uses sprites from SMB3, most notably Mario. The level design is constructed to make you panic, but you have to slow down for every situation and analyze the rooms carefully. There is a 900 second time limit for a reason.

I recommend this hack for experienced SMB1 players, but if you are a casual or beginner player you probably shouldn't play it. This game is extremely tough and will punish you for every death by sending you all the way back to the beginning. I haven't even beaten the first level, and I honestly don't know how long it is.

Another tip: some of the enemies don't behave how they normally do... be careful.
