Hack description

This was Googie's first attempt at MM1 hacking, this hack throws Mega Man in all new different levels that are more challenging than the original levels. There's also some text changes in here too. So if you're up for a Mega Man challenge, try out this hack. There's also some minor graphics editing in here too, like the weapons and energy capsules were change into capsules from Mega Man 2. Enjoy.

A cheap hackLSM2022-03-04Version 1.0

Sadly, it is one of the worst Mega Man hacks I played. To be honest, it includes lots of cheap ideas. I refer to the readme file. It said: " When you die in this hack, you have to start from the beginning.". In other words, this hack is without any checkpoints. I don't think it's a good idea. Also, the level design is poor, with lots of cheap spikes and pitfalls. The Iceman stage is one of the worst stages because it's laggy, and the enemy has a terrible placement. Worst of all, you must be good at jumping skills and using the magnet beam to pass some stages. In the Cutman stage, you need to jump perfectly to avoid hitting spikes. In Wily 4, you need to do it over and over again. That's too repetitive. You need to switch special weapons frequently. I don't know why this guy makes a boring hack. Not fun.

Disappointment is assureddiablo6662022-02-27Version 1.0

Oh my God, I really tried it out!?

The level design of each level is unfair to the player. Cheap death on cheap death.

There are pixel jumps. There are thorns. There are pits and inconveniently placed enemies.

Avoid this hack if you don't want to be disappointed.

P.S. I haven't seen so many "NO's" in the recommendations yet. God, the hack's rating is straight 0/10

Boring and poor level designCANbus2021-09-23Version 1.0

Let's talk about why this hack is so boring and poor level design. In fact, all of stages color isn't break your eyes. But level design is too poor. For example, bad jump in cutman stage and bad ceiling jump in wily 4.Also,enemies are too repetitive some of stages. I don't recommend it.

I'm afraid this one needs work.Kallisto2017-02-05Version 1.0

The other reviewers on here echo the same problems I also had with this particular romhack. The bad enemy placements, having to take damage in order to make it over to the next platform, and sometimes you are forced to use the magnetic beam in a few stages, and if you were out of energy for the magnetic beam in a few areas then you were practically screwed, and have to start all over. Also the lack of checkpoints has really hurt this experience as well, and you're forced to use savestates, and even sometimes these savestates are needed to deal with death jumps, and other bad areas that I considered pretty damn cheap.

I'm afraid I can't recommend this.

A low level hackTimaeus2015-09-30Version 1.0

Honestly this hack doesn´t have much to say. Enemies in bad placements, some parts that cannot be passed without taking damage and poor low ceiling jumps are the main thing you´ll find here. The level design is very repetitive and boring, and everything else, like colours, damage inputs, is unchanged. I only recommend this one for those that like challenge and don´t care about details, but for others, just pass by.

I played the Cutman Stage, and this is what I get; death jump after death jump, after death jump. There's fun challenge, and then there's repetitive, annoying challenge. I feel like the latter is just a sign of lack of creativity.

What I think is good challenge is taking advantage of enemy design, and making it so that the player has to find away to hoard them off in a challenging manner. This is just boring, and not fun...
