A straightforward reskin, but with a flaw.Widge2023-10-22Version 1.0

This patch appears to be not much more than a reskin of standard duck hunt. The title screen replaces the familiar "Duck Hunt" title with a pleasant-looking new marquee titled "Snowfield Shoot" and the three game modes have been renamed to "1 Airship", "2 Airships" and simply "Shoot", replacing the "1/2 Ducks" and "Clay Shooting".

The title music has also been altered, but is not dissimilar from the original. Some other music and sound effects have been changed. But some music has also remained unchanged.

The background scenery has been replaced with snowy landscapes. The Airships scene even features a leafless tree, suggesting that this might be the same location as in the original Ducks game. I particularly liked the Clay Shooting landscape which includes some cabins.

The Ducks have been replaced with airships (blimps). There are two visible varieties, a pink airship and a black airshio (with pink outline). But these two designs are duplicated across the wider range of Duck originals. Their movements appear to be consistent with the original ducks, so the patcher hasn't attempted to alter their flight.

And the "Shoot" game mode appears to be identical to the original Clay Shooting, but the clays have been replaced with Snowballs. However, this is where the game alls down, as the hitbox for the snowballs is offset to the right of the sprite. A durect hit can sometimes result in a miss, but shots fired to apparently open space to the right of the ball will result in a hit. This ruins the whole game.

So on the whole, as a simple reskin it wasn't too bad, but the fact that the hitboxes are way off in the Clay Shooting mode ruins the whole game. Unfortunately, this makes the patch a disappointment.
