ROM Information
Name: Pokémon Emerald (U)Hack description
This is a further modified version of Pokemon Emerald: Complete Hoenn Dex Edition (please note that this is a standalone patch. Use a clean ROM for this hack) intended to enable the entire Pokemon roster of Emerald's generation. The priority is given to expansion over difficulty, resulting in a curve that is the same as Emerald in most parts, perhaps a little more difficult in some parts due to shifting trainers' Pokemon and movesets around.Screenshots

Great mod and optional patches...though I'm only using the Light version. The only issues I've had so far were the Night/Day mode being too dark for me in the actual battles (felt like a blue filter) and Larvitar not spawning on Route 111 or the Mirage Tower like the location list says. I didn't have any issues training a Ralts like another review mentioned, though.
| Replaced Battle Sprites should be Optional | treefroggy | 2022-06-09 | Version Complete |
This would be my ideal patch for the game. But with how exhaustive the features list is, and with the thoughtful optional patches, it's a major oversight having all Pokemon battle sprites replaced as a mandatory inclusion. Replacing battle sprites should always be optional, yet most Emerald hacks do this. It's not an objective improvement, it's a matter of taste, and many people would prefer to have sprites of the generation they're playing. Gen III Hacks Have Trouble Holding Back. Every other feature makes this my ideal version for playing on original hardware. With the replaced sprites though, I simply can't play this. I spent 800 hours on Soul Silver Version, it is weird seeing these sprites in Emerald. I will have to stick with either Vanilla Sapphire version or Vanilla Emerald, though I'm considering using the "greenless" patch as well. It's just not worth all the benefits if the centerpiece of the game- the Pokemon themselves- is missing the classic poses I come to gen III to see.

Though there are a few cons, the pros are outstanding! This is my first review. (even tho I'm a little bit late on doing this) I'm a fan of Chronosplit's patches and even tho I dont have the evidence to prove it, the patches I've downloaded over the months have little to no problems. This patch is by far the best one yet. Recommended to all Pokémon enthusiasts who want to add a little spice on their game.
| A very good hack. | JamesSullivan3 | 2016-06-01 | Version Final+ |
This is a very good hack for Pokemon Emerald. I enjoyed being able to catch a lot more Pokemon than I normally could in the vanilla game. I would definitely recommend it!

| The Emu Edition of this amazing game! | ShadowOne333 | 2015-01-06 | Version Final+3 |
Incredible hack and even more the hacks you give in optional patches! I have finished the game after the Elite Four and gotta say it is amazing. And playing it with the day-night patch gives it new life! I would only want to know where you can get the Ferry tickets for the event Pokemon like Deoxys, Lati@s, etc? One slight complain though... Could the vanilla patch have the original 3rd gen starters instead of Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil and Treecko? The vanilla patch should add only all the wild/event pokemon to make them catchable in Emerald without changing any gameplay mechanics or, in this case, battle mechanics from any trainer. If could do so I think it would be far greatly appreciated than what it already is!
