Hack description

As the famous author of "Extra Mario Bros", this is ATA's first ever hack. This hack is made out of good vanilla level design, and selected graphics. (Thought that later in the series, the graphics are kept to the original).

The length of this hack is 23 levels long. It shouldn't be too long for those looking for a good normal-looking SMB hack to play.

This is incredible, when I tested this patch, I hadn't felt like playing a Mario game for the first time in a long time. It was like playing the original game that ended a long time ago for the first time and that's due to its good level design, the good use sequences of the cut scenes, the difficulty and much others things that fan of SMB must experiment. Yes, the game is somewhat short, but it makes up for it with its high but not unfair difficulty. The problem with that is that it takes you a lot of save state when you just get to World 5, from here everything is a matter of trial and error, but once you finish it, it gives you a feeling of satisfaction and wanting to play it again until you learn and master each level completely. I also liked the detail of changing Mario's color palette from blue instead of brown, makes it consistent with the official art of the game.

Everything is very well built here, at no time will you feel that the game is broken by a kind of bug or glitch. For example, at no time will you see Mario enter a pipe within a new sequence and then see him emerge from under the ground like a zombie or arrive in the clouds floating as if by magic as you normally see in other romhacks many times that they do not fix those details or do not take into account. No, everything and every element, both base and new, has been carefully and consistently made to give us a new and enjoyable experience.

If you are looking for an SMB game that gives you a new experience and a good challenge in the pure SMB style and that combines elements of the original game and the original SMBLL, then this patch is for you.
