Streets of Rage 2 had a gritty, neon-infused art style. This patch brightens up the colours, losing the grit of the original. Characters especially are now obnoxiously bright against backgrounds that often weren't changed at all. It's nice Pyron shared his personal tweak, but this patch requires a lot more work. Everything needs to be changed to fit the new brighter style before I would recommend it. As is it's kinda a mess. | |||

After play this hack, I can't find objective reasons not to recommend it. The creator is honest when he describes it as a "personal touch", with brighter and saturated palettes, which give the game some "Capcom flavour", as seen in the screenshots. It's just a matter of personal preference, just try it and decide for yourself! | |||
