This was a pretty cool hack and I had fun with it. It was fun to see Proto Man in place of Mega Man, even though it was just a sprite change (and the little cute shield in the back). Nothing really new just a cosmetic difference, but still pretty neat nonetheless.

Aside from that though, I did notice some things that stuck out to me while I was playing. First, I noticed when you died, you would come back looking blue instead of his original color scheme. Switching weapons would fix it, though. Second, his shield could be more prominent if it was like Sniper Joe's, actually if it is possible to give Proto Man Sniper Joe's shield but recolored for Proto Man.

As it stands, though, this is a great hack that does what it is expected to do. Even though it's just a cosmetic look it's still fun to play the game with a different looking character even after you've played the original game so many times.

Usually things like these are overlooked simply because it is a simple character change, but it does offer a unique twist to MM1 by playing as Protoman whom Megaman had yet to meet in his adventure.

I recommend this modification simply because of convenience someone put their time into changing Megaman into Protoman for this romhack.
