I recommend this patch because it does what it says. It adds D-pad controls for Phantom Hourglass. However, that isn't to say you can play the entire game without using the touch screen now, and that isn't just concerning the 'drawing mechanics' either. To throw bombs, you still need the touch screen. To do a 'targeted attack', you still need the touch screen. To use your Boomerang, you still need to touch screen. To push blocks, you still need the touch screen. To advance the dialogue, sometimes you need the touch screen.

This means that on PC, a lot of the time you still have to get your hand on that mouse to continue playing. This can be pretty annoying.

Play a zelda game with a stylus all the time, could be very hard, this hack make a nice improvement. Nintendo should have done this, but thanks to the creator we have now a better Phantom Hourglass. The possibility to play the game both ways is what makes this hack one of the best. In fact we still need to use the touch screen, but only in the better parts that stylus comes in handy. Doesn't matter if you already beat the game before, try again is 2x more fun.
