Hack description

While the maximum damage a character could deal to an individual monster in a single attack in pre-PS2 Final Fantasy games was always 9999, the maximum damage Final Fantasy IV can actually handle is 16383 (that's 3FFF in hex).

This mod unlocks the artificial damage cap and reworks the sprite coding to allow display of the fifth digit.

You finally have a reason to cast Meteo after acquiring Bahamut!

Works like a dream.Bahamut ZERO2015-03-08Version 1.0

I always wished the older Final Fantasy games could break the 9999 damage limit, so having a mod like this is quite mindblowingly awesome.

Just make sure to keep a version of your project backed up if you use FF4kster, as it breaks compatability with it. But you should always backup your project for safety's sake anyway.

It's mods like this that help breathe a little fresh air into a classic game, and they are always welcome in my book. :D
