| Less necessary than the others, but a good option for personal preference. | DarkLink1996 | 2020-06-02 | Version 0.1 |
In my honest opinion, the voice clips in Yoshi's Island are far less intrusive than the ones in Advance 1, 2, and 4. However, the ability to customize your experience to your personal preference is something these games can get with only these patches. The patch does what it sets out to do, and it does it well, if you aren't a fan of the voices then you should use this patch.

Yes. Just. Yes. I can see why this is getting so much praise because the voices went overboard. Now with this nifty little hack, Yoshi is silent and gets right to work!

No Just No. I don't see why this is getting praise, because the voices... ...are not even bothersome. Ever hear of minimal voice acting? This game is proof that it works, but removing them just makes it seem like it would never work. Besides what this game did was just swap the voice clips from YI with clips from Yoshi's Story, just for the sake of continuity.

Awesome patch, works with the color restoration patch too. Only issue is that babies voices are still there.

I hate the Yoshi voice. Thank you for removing it. Now I can finally play this game with the sound on. My only recommendation in the future is an option to have certain other voices on. For example, I don't mind the "Choose A Game" voice. Also, I would discourage the hacker from doing any modification of Baby Mario's cries in the future, as it's not nearly as grating on the GBA version as it was on SNES. I know everyone hates the Baby Mario cry, but it's part of the game. As is, the positive of not hearing Yoshi's talking is a massive improvement to this game. If only Nintendo had inserted an option to toggle the voices in the game. I'll amend this review if I notice any bugs. For now, it's fantastic.
