| Great idea, glitched results | Ligeia | 2022-04-15 | Version 1.0 |
This is truly a great hack idea, implementing a feature that should have been here in the first place and makes the game so much more enjoyable. Finally being able to try any track right away is absolutely neat. The thing is, while most of the extra practice tracks play fine, there are some nasty bugs :
This is still recommended because even with the bugs I consider it an improvement over the original. It would be awesome if someone polished this hack to make it a definitive version.
| Starts out fine, but turns out buggy the more you play with it. | RomHablay | 2022-04-12 | Version 1.0 |
The hack runs fine with White Land II. But with Mute City III, the graphics bug out and on Death Wind II, it will never register your time since it thinks you're still in Grand Prix mode. Dunno if I just was unlucky, or it is really that bugged since no one shows any footage of it online.
| Good little patch | MathUser2929 | 2017-01-26 | Version 1.0 |
This game was the birth of practice mode for racing games I believe. I can see how they might not have thought out the advantages of letting players choose every track. Thankfully this patch fixes that problem. Now you can pick any track. I think this is a good patch. Make the patched ROM your default ROM.
| Just what was needed! | cikulus | 2017-01-25 | Version 1.0 |
I revisit this game every few years, and I'm always reminded, and subsequently bummed out, that in Practice Mode, you can't drive on all the tracks. So just now, I remember this site, and think "I bet one of those geniuses figured out how to add the rest of the tracks in. I bet there's a rom hack for that." And here it is! Brilliant! It's exactly as advertised. You get all the tracks in Practice Mode, and, the game still saves your records. Finally I can practice on Fire Field! Thank you!
