Hack description

The game has a special sprite for monsters that have been turned into Imps; however, it does not use it correctly in numerous places. All switching of a monster's sprite with the Imp sprite is achieved via the Imp spell, which not only means that some monsters that receive Imp status (e.g. via Rippler) won't look like Imps, but also that some monsters will look like Imps when they don't actually have Imp status. This patch makes all usage of the Imp sprite automatic.

Overall Love the Fix, But There's One Game-Breaking IssueMoleMan2024-03-20Version 1.4

For almost any battle in the game, this patch seems to fix an existing bug and allows the Imp spell/status to function as intended. However, in the World of Ruin, during the boss battle in the Cave on the Veldt... defeating the living SrBehemoth (Behemoth King) while it is under the effect of Imp will cause the undead version of the boss to not be visible to the player. Defeating its undead form then causes the game to crash entirely.

So I'd recommend that anyone who wants to use this patch avoid using Imp during that specific battle.
