Hack description

Designed to be a somewhat harder extra game or "next loop" for Mega Man 6, this hack features new level layouts, different boss weaknesses and arenas, faster screen loads & menus, and a brand new, unarguably different plot from the original game.

This hack was built with speedrunning in mind for MM6 experts, but it should be accessible for most casual players as well. The readme includes an FAQ section if anything in the game is confusing.

Intended for the US version of the game.

Next Loop is an expertly designed challenge that has a great balance of insta-death obstacles and tricky enemy placement, requiring some nimble maneuvering with the rush adapter. The enemies and bosses remain the same which keeps the difficulty from getting too wild, but there are a couple adjustments made to their rooms (and weaknesses) that'll keep you on your toes. A very smart hack and a ton of fun if you're up to the challenge—the deep oil is a delight once you can grasp how it works.
