I've come to prefer these over the NES versions of Roll-Chan. The Game Boy series of Mega Man is usually portrayed as a bunch of side-stories if there is any plot to say about them. The Roll-Chan World hacks accent this fact, and make the games feel like a bunch of side games starring a side character. The art replacements are also equal in quality to (if not better than) the original works, which go a long way in making everything look polished and professional. If you're looking for a new way to kick yourself into playing the game boy editions, look no further!

Though it's entirely a graphics/dialogue hack, this one is still really great for what it is. The gameplay graphics are clean and still accurately reflect for your hitbox size, while the cutscene graphics are just beautifully done (seriously professional quality). Given these first couple GB games just recycle bosses from the original series, it's great to have even a small twist like this to play through!

I'd recommend the hack, even if I wouldn't recommend the game; I'm a Mega Man Veteran, but this one is tedious and relentless. Like the other Rollchan hacks, there isn't much to say, because it changes Mega Man to Roll, and that's all that it was ever meant to be. While I tend to prefer the classic outfit for the NES games, in this particular hack, I liked the Mega Man 8 outfit better. One thing of note, though, is that the artwork for Roll is spectacular, especially the Weapon Get screens; it's clear that an awful lot of time and care was put into this!
