Poopy funnyonigirli2023-06-19Version Final

Meh on the translation, to be honest. The janky English is stil there ("Crystal doesn't work yet" is still said when the crystal stops working after time runs out). You'd have to be someone who hated typos to really feel a difference from the improvement. But the poop is restored, and it being the only hack for this game makes it an automatic yes, lol.

If you prefer the original script, might as well play thisGhaleon2022-03-07Version Final

I've never played this unmodified, but I've played through this patch and some of the newer retranslation.

Regarding bugfixes, without a readme, I have no idea what was changed, so I can't comment on that in any helpful way.

Regarding the script, none of the three English options are optimal.

The original script, as noted in the retranslation's review, feels like it was written by a 1st-grader. This doesn't change that (nor is it claiming to).

But the new retranslation script is long-winded, awkward, and redundant, as if a machine wrote it rather than a writer/editor. So pick your poison. (I chose this typo-fixed version.)

This patch mostly just seems to change a word here and there, swapping out NoA censors like "defeat" for words like "kill", etc., so that is appreciated.

There are still plenty of minor capitalization and grammar errors in this patch, but nothing egregious or confusing.

I didn't notice any major typos while playing, so this patch seems to deliver what it says, hence the "recommended"!

Either way, as a videogame it's imperfect, but E.V.O. and all the Enix "creation/evolution" Action RPGs all deserve more love, so check it out the way that best works for you!

Thanks alot.

Finally I can enjoy all the dinosaur droppings that were taken from the Japanese version. Big thanks.
