Short but interesting!diablo6662022-02-09Version 2.0.0

To arrange from the Mushroom Kingdom to the Kingdom of Sand is an interesting idea.

Graphically - slightly modified, but conveys the atmosphere of these hot places. There's good level design here. There are no dishonest places or anything upsetting.

If something is moderately easy and something short, but interesting - this hack will appeal to many.

A lot of the time, when you see deserts in a game, it's the same kind of desert, and while I love them, it was really neat to see more of a Southwestern desert for once. So, right off the bat, I was hooked on the aesthetics, and that didn't change throughout the hack. Many of the levels were designed in aesthetically pleasing ways; it wasn't just the palette, but also the way that things were put together that made this special. The underground feels like it has a nice, cool temperature, and fits very well with the theme. World 2-2 in particular has a vast, mysterious blackness to it that creates a great atmosphere. There are also some very cool giant mushroom stems in the underground areas. As for the mechanical aspect of the level design, it's mostly reasonable, but you may want to skip this one, if you're a beginner, because some advanced techniques are required to make it to the end. This is a great little hack, and I'd love to see what else the creator may come up with!

Okay, so as a first SMB hack, it has potential. I really liked the graphic styling and cool level design for a two world hack. I did find some bad, but I wont bash at all as this is a first attempt. But i will state what I did find wrong as a helpful tip on what needs to be fixed. In level one, i found a pipe that is too tall to get over. You could use the pipe that lies before it to jump on, but if you go to far you cant get back and it was either wait, or restart...Guess which one I did.

Next, I found that the bonus area in level two leads to a invisible pipe right into a hole. A common thing and a easy fix. Also, the half way point works, but spawns you into a set of pipes that push you outward, which technically is not a "mess up", but does look rather silly. Another thing I found was the half way point in level three is completely no good. right down a hole.

Guess what I had to do? Restart the game. One last thing I found was in world two, level one. The bonus level leads to death upon exit. I hope the author continues to make SMB hacks. He/she has plenty of talent. I really enjoyed this first hack. Honestly speaking the tiny problems I found were impressive for a two world hack and first try at SMB, as one could expect a lot more.

I really enjoyed this and hope to see a full eight world version, or a sequel. Great job, and if the author would like to contact me for help or advice on SMB hacking, I would be more then happy to help!! Keep it up!!
