Hack description

Sunsoft originally planned to make a Terminator game for the NES. They lost the license, and we all got the crappy Terminator game from Mindscape. Sunsoft changed a few things (mainly the main character, and the story), and released Journey to Silius. The game is very awesome, with a killer soundtrack, great gameplay, and cool graphics. This hack aims to try to turn Journey to Silius back into The Terminator. This hack replaces the title screen, cutscenes and story, ending, character graphics, as well as altering some enemies and bosses to look more Terminator-like. A big thank you to Kamaal Brown and PasthorRothers, who helped with the spritework, James Proveaux, who colorized the title screen, and 8-bit fan, who smoothed out and tweaked various things in the game! Enjoy!!!

A great job, if a bit awkwardBlazeHeatnix2024-05-06Version 4.0

It's the closest we'll ever get to Sunsoft's original vision. Color schemes and sprites look very good and amazingly, it's accurate to the film without sacrificing any contrast. A lot of the work done here is genuinely impressive.

My only problem is John Connor's sprite. It looks downright goofy, especially the way he runs. Really, the only thing that had to be done was edit the original sprite to have the green jumpsuit.

This hack must have been the original game as it is well done and it is a shame that sunsoft lost the license Although it is not time for regrets The trick shows that it is well done even though I have not finished it yet I recommend it for anyone who likes Terminator movies and action games

A Video Speaks A Million WordsStixsmasterHD2019-04-28Version 3.0

Ok love this total conversion hack. Its the best I've seen for NES.

Its the only 1 I've seen that actually looks like a whole new game flawlessly.

I've even had peeps try and say they remember playing it back in the 90s haha.

But as my headline states a video speaks more than a 1000 words but a million so here is the url to my youtube video of me being crushed in the 1st stage for anyone that wishes to see it in action.

Good execution - Art needs workMilesAway2019-01-04Version 2.0

A very cool idea, and done quite well.

However... The new artwork clashes terribly with the original Journey to Silius art and, while not bad, stands out like a sore thumb. The original artwork and sprites had a very distinct style to it, and the artists for this hack did not try to make their style match the original and it shows.

Would be great if the art was reworked to blend in with the original so that it felt like a completed game, instead of a "hack".

I was gonna do this D:Doodle_Dangernoodle2018-03-22Version 1.0

This is an awesome recreation of the Terminator license. I am in the process of hacking it as well, but I see you've already beaten me to it... But still, I recommend!
