Fairly short (took under 2 hours to 100%) but very well-themed and entertaining. I loved the area with the Metroid research where the first time you just have to run. It was an excellent "prequel" to the SR388 mission.

This was a great hack! I really liked it, even though some might say it's a bit too short. I finished it the first time at 1:15:50 IGT (though with savestates :P) I highly recommend it!

A couple of bugs though: When I first got to the last, or second to last, area, I exited back to another area and re-entered it, and the music was gone. Didn't come back for a long time, I think some special room reset it. And when you finish the game and go to Options and choose "Original Metroid", the emulator crashed (played on BizHawk). I'm not surprised about that though, just thought you should be aware of it :) And hey, that might be another project, filling in that "slot" with something else, maybe a NES Metroid hack? :D

A very pretty and well designed hack. It was updated during the contest to fix most of the bugs that existed. However there is still one music bug that exists when going through an area transition when custom music is playing. The hack is large, but sadly too much so. Many rooms felt empty and pointless, which made exploration boring and almost annoying, considering that most of the rooms were massive. Regardless, it is a fun hack to play. The research area was by far my favorite part of the hack.

This hack is short and quite easy, but it's fun to play it and the varia suit has another color pallet and looks pretty cool. Totally recommended if you want to have a nice time.
