| An unforgiving game gets a heart | timeisup | 2020-04-10 | Version 1.1 |
Sorry for the bad joke, but this was an unforgiving game in many ways. One major one was your hearts going to zero after a game over (3 lives, no chance of any 1-ups.) This wonderful patch simply halves them, which is much easier to deal with, especially when coupled with the double hearts patch from annoyance fixes patches. Your experience will still be zero after each game over, however.
| Wouldn't Play Without This | Shade Aurion | 2018-12-03 | Version 1.0 |
I grew up with Castlevania II - Simon's Quest so I'm very used to the harsh and unforgiving nature of the game and what this hack does is take something frustrating and make it a non-issue. The reduction in penalty really makes it feel like less of a hassle and keeps players playing rather then getting salty and quitting and that is no small thing. I used this hack along with Annoyance Fixes and Improved Controls in my playthrough here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUTCRuJqHYc&list=PLVFlHPy0Pa9ti3NATk3akAX3uHkQ66QWv
| This is how it should have been | inkingsama | 2018-09-05 | Version 1.0 |
It is fully functional and I think that all of us who have played the game agree that the game should be like that from the beginning. Totally recommended.
