First off, ignore the "Bonkers" review. I don't know if that's a troll, or the person doesn't understand how light works, but they are bad misrepresenting the hack. The re-colouring of Batman in this one is the best of all the hacks available at the time of writing. The author of this patch clearly understands low-key lighting and shadowing, and has maintained, if not increased nuance and detail while getting arguably as close as possible to the look of the movie. For that reason it is highly recommended. But... The issue with the patch is that it is scantly documented. It lists that it has changed text, level design, and colours, and give no explanation as to the scope or extent of these changes. If it weren't for the exceptionally well coloured Batman sprite and cutscenes, I couldn't recommend this at all. As it it stands, it is barely recommended, with the caveat that you have to accept that we don't even know what's been changed.
| Gray is better than purple AND black | sub_atomic | 2020-02-06 | Version final |
Ignore the bonkers review. If Batman's costume was black, he would be invisible for most of the game. Gray is the perfect compromise and much better than purple!

It always bugged me that Batman was wearing purple in the original game. This is definitely a step closer to the Burton movie!
| Demonstrably wrong. | Bonkers! | 2019-01-05 | Version final |
"Batman - how it should have been" Nope. The protagonist in the Tim Burton movie was dressed entirely in black - and _not_ the comic book blue/gray getup you see in this hack. If you want to post a comic colour hack, then label it as such.
