| After a while, it is... | diablo666 | 2021-08-24 | Version 1.0 |
Completely impassable. Seriously, I've never been so tormented by passing hacks. The levels are made so that in any case death... It's frustrating and depressing. You think: "apply saves". I answer: "With Savings - yes. There were attempts. Painful and unpleasant. Moving forward is not. I'm stuck and I can't get through." If you want to ruin someone's day, ask them to play IT... A beautiful wrapper on the outside (after all, beautiful graphics, I can not argue), and inside-a very inedible filling (Playability is ZERO)

I don't know why author how to make so difficult hack.If you have not lots of time,I don't recommend you play it.All of level design is awful, especially wily 3.I know author recommend everyone use save states to beat it.But,YOU MUST SAVE STATES SEVERAL TIMES TO BEAT WILY 3.If I never use save states,I can't imagaine how to beat it several years later. Then, weapon energy used is too inbalance. It seems NOT allow you make mistakes any stages.I guess it's the most difficult of Mega Man 1 hack,at least.
| I'm sorry..but hell no to this one. | Kallisto | 2017-02-06 | Version 1.0 |
The stages are next to impossible to traverse, and only one of those boss stages is barely tolerable, and even with the magnetic beam that there is still so much bull to get through in this romhack. The stages are designed so terribly that I have to wonder what was going through his mind when he made this? I especially do not like the enemy placement as it is just one cheap shot after another. No, I simply cannot recommend this one.
| Terrible Level Design, Style Doesn't Cover it up! | TheLuigiLightning | 2015-05-25 | Version 1.0 |
Basically, everything I said for Rockman Claw applies here; tons of ASM hacking, class F level design! If I assumed that everyone has read my Rockman Claw review, I wouldn't really have to say much, but for those who haven't, I'm going to summarize my position in a nutshell; Both of these hacks try to implement a lot of stylish ASM hacking, but really fall extremely flat on the level design. It's unplayable, and that's because the enemies are in horrible positions, and you don't have the right kind of terrain to fight them. The swooping guys in this hack in Gutsman's... I'm sorry, "Classic" stage are the most annoying thing, especially because they come on screen in the most impossible of times! Believe it or not, I actually got pretty far in this stage, but as soon as I got to the cloud, it was literally impossible to shoot the swooping guys. Try all you want, but you will see very quickly it's completely unfair. But you're probably thinking, "just go to another stage!" No, you can't! You have to fight them in a certain order, so you are OBLIGATED to do this stage first! Unacceptable. Making people have to do the stages in a certain order defeats the wonder of what made Mega Man special; you could start with any stage! So, seriously, if you're going to make such changes, learn how to utilize your own changes, for god's sake!

Version: 1.0 What to expect from this hack:
If you like savestates, you'll love this hack! Overall, I have to recommend it if you want a hack that will take you a few hours to beat, not factoring in the time spent eventually taking a break from the annoying pixel-perfect jumping sections.
