This was a fantastic and enjoyable experience!SwiftlyTony3602023-06-27Version 1.5

Introduction

Now that I've completed Superstar Mario World from beginning to end, I can now add my input. This is such a fun and fantastic hack. I have noticed along the way some issues that need to be worked on, as well as some areas that could be improved upon on. I will address them below:

Game-play Review

There has been a significant increased in difficulty that I wasn't expecting. Each boss encounter you come across was unique and creative. Each world has its own individual themes and challenges that were engaging for new and veteran players. Getting 100 coin gives you the star ability, which very useful and necessary for certain levels.

Writing Review

The main story plot was simple and engaging for the audience to get into. The conversations the characters had were interesting and made you feel like you were playing an RPG game. There were elements of SMW, SMB3, I believe DKC, and a level that felt like it could have been from "Ahh Real Monsters". The special boss fights and the climactic storyline made it feel like something straight out of Kirby Superstar, for which I enjoyed greatly.

Suggestions – Spoilers

Despite the excitement, I believe that there were a few choices that hindered the game's potential to provide a more enriching and enjoyable experience.

1 – You were only given 3 power ups, which are Mushroom, Fire Flower and Star Power. It would be great if you considered adding more variety of power ups to play with, or at the very least a separate patch that allows more power ups.

2 – The setup for the special final boss fight was dragging on for too long that it was feeling rather boring and extremely difficult. I suggest shortening the special final battle.

3 – The special world and all its stages were really difficult. While I understand it was all intended purposes to be difficult, perhaps adding a separate easy mode patch that would make this hack more enjoyable rather than stressful.

Conclusion

After reviewing this, I believe this is a Superstar Mario World experience so far, but it has so much room for improvement. The difficulty of this hack is targeted more for veteran players to complete the game. I recommend this for anyone who wishes to try out the Superstar experience. I hope the creator takes these into consideration and knows that this is one of the most fun SMW hacks I've ever played.
