Hack description

This is a Hack of Donkey Kong Country 2, it does not change gameplay, however it changes the tileset (background) of some courses, this hack was made with the idea of a sort of a BETA restoration, based on some early footage from DKC2, it was also made with the Speedrun community in mind, since the hack is based on the Japanese version (Super Donkey Kong 2), and by the fact that the graphical changes might help speedruning in some way, and that would also be something different and interesting to Speedrunners to do, would be amazing if someone accepted to do speedrun with this hack, anyway, please enjoy this hack! :)

Seamless integration of a Nostalgia filter	Mylocke	2024-04-30	Version 1.0
The Color Enhancement pack does draw out some nice colors from a lot of the stages, but for me who has not played the game in probably over 15 years I really couldn't tell besides the levels with the nice sky or sunset backgrounds. And I view this as a good thing. Either way it played into the nostalgia factor for me. This game was always colorful and vibrant in my mind, I guess this hack matched that a bit to the point where it was seamless. If you want to play the base game again you have no excuse to not try this hack.

Loved how the beta palletes give a totally different feeling to the stages and you can feel that in the very first stage. I'd love to see an actual mod using these visuals.
