Hack description

Improvement in Fatal Fury:

At the PLAYER SELECT screen hold a direction and press the X button.

- ↖ + X = Richard Meyer.
- ↗ + X = Michael Max.
- ↙ + X = Duck King.
- ↘ + X = Tung Fu Rue.
- → + X = Hwa Jai.
- ← + X = Raiden.
- ↓ + X = Billy Kane.
- ↑ + X = Geese Howard.

Hint: If a second player joins the game,the first player must hold a direction before the PLAYER SELECT screen appears.Otherwise the highlighted character will be his choice.

Improvement in Fatal Fury 2:

-Enable Billy Kane, Laurence Blood, Axel Hawk, and Wolfgang Krauser as selectable characters.

The patch can be applied to the iso file through the program Delta Patcher which can be found in this website.

It's really great this hack exists. Being able to play as normally unselectable characters is a delight. The hack still has its fair share of issues though. Fatal Fury 1 : Billy Kane and Geese Howard have completely glitched out palettes. Fatal Fury 2 : when playing as a boss your sprite sometimes disappears in the middle of the fight. I still recommend the hack but it needs some polishing.
