Hack description

The main character, Prince Gerald of one of the continent's superpowers, Gilgam, was on a mission with some knights assigned to him. One day, an invasion from the other superpower, Attika, changed how his daily life worked...

Features:

-Melee/Magic Hybrid classes like Harriers
-Gameplay Changes
-Status Weapons
-Heroes Repositionals
-Quality of life improvements (stuff like danger Zone, display healed amount, display growth rates, etc.)
-Bad mugs for the most part (if you're into that sort of thing)
-An Anima Weapon Triangle, with Fire, Thunder, and Wind
-24 playable chapters in a single route
-SNES Criticals

Known Issues:

-At the end of 1-F when Gerald promotes, the graphics glitch a bit before the promotion but it does not impact the gameplay in anyway.
-The modified weapon triangle kinda conflicts with the anima triangle only in the essence of "the enemy has the new bonuses but player units have the vanilla WT bonuses.
-If the Thunderbolt spell misses, a part of Thoron plays. Not major at all.
-If you load a file on EPILOGUE, the turncount scene can look a bit off, but the turncounts are shown correctly.

The download contains four .ups patches: the standard hack, 0% and 100% growth modes, and a toggle to revert the player palette to traditional Fire Emblem blue.

The Fire Emblem Universe thread contains further information.

A decent Fire Emblem hackRecca2019-11-30Version 1.2.0

While not quite on par with some of the other well known Fire Emblem hacks such as The Last Promise, Order of the Crimson Arm or The Road to Ruin, this hack still has a lot to offer fans of the series. The storyline is interesting, but the dialogue can be a bit bland at times. However, the custom edited sprites and newly added music makes up for this shortcoming. There is a split path during about the half way point of the game which certainly gives it some replay value. The characters are also decently well made. While not the best, they are certainly acceptable.

There are a few randomly occurring graphical glitches that occur from time to time as well as an occasional status screen bug that displays false high stats. However, neither of these small bugs are game breaking as both can be easily fixed by opening a different screen anywhere in the game (such as a status/item/menu screen) and exiting it to remedy said issues.

Overall, this hack is fairly well made and interesting as it uses Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (8th game in the series) as its base instead of Fire Emblem (7th game in the series) as most Fire Emblem fan hacks tend to. This allows for a few extra nice features such as two selectable classes during unit promotion, more units/sprites in general and the supply feature right from the start of the game. The main character is also a light magic user which is quite original for a series that is mostly known as having melee fighters as lords. I would recommend this hack to any Fire Emblem fan that is looking for a decent hack to play with some fresh new twists to it. And for those seeking a challenge, there is a hard mode patch offered as well as "zero growths" for both the regular normal and hard mode patches (meaning that characters will not gain stats during regular level ups, but must instead rely on using newer units and stat increasing items).
