Hack description

This hack was designed to be tough but managable to play blind and without savestates. This hack was focused around abusing vanilla mechanics in SMB3. Besides some minor quirks of the original game all levels and tricks are meant to be fair.

The game consists of 3 worlds, a hidden level, a locked back door that has a unique boss fight and a dash of lore.

Trick very difficult but achievableantonyy3002023-02-11Version 1.3

Several levels cost me a lot but after repeating the levels many times they are being achieved little by little, encourage yourself to play it but I must warn you that if you are impatient, better not play it jiji.

I decided to take a look at this hack...Googie2019-09-09Version 1.1

This hack is made to be tough, but it can be beaten. I see several You Tubers going through this hack completing it, once you know the ins and outs of the SMB3 physics you'll be good to go. I do dig the death blocks and how they animate, it's a pretty cool gimmick.

This hack is not for everybody, for those how crave a challenge try this hack out, it's one of those unique SMB3 hacks out there, and I dig the title screen, too. :D

Very Very Very hard gameshawnes2019-09-08Version 1.1

Extremely Difficult Despite DescriptionKevvyLava2019-08-21Version 1.1

This is yet another extremely difficult kaizo hack which strips all of the fun out of the classic game in favor of twitch-perfect jumps and dodges right from the get-go (including hidden blocks that knock you into pits). If you want anything close to a normal Mario experience, stay far away from this.

As you start, there are a bunch of "skull blocks" that you quickly realize will kill you instantly upon touching them, and they are a regular feature of the game. I doubt many people will get very far in this. The one upside is that when you are killed by the blocks, you spawn back on the map instantly, without delay, which allows you to retry very quickly. If you fall in a pit, you get the regular death sequence before respawn.

I could never recommend this to anyone unless the author went back and made the jumps reasonable in the first few levels to at least give the player a feeling that they could possibly beat the game. I find it interesting that in the description, the author noted that the hack is "meant to be fair and easy to learn with some practice, if needed". The game is very hard and most won't even make it past the first few jumps.
