Hack description

There's a timing bug that happens on certain emulators on certain ROMs in certain scenarios that causes the screen to "shake" whenever a text box is on screen. This patch contains a fix for both the US and JP versions of Crystalis/God Slayer.

Credit for original fix goes to Steve Hacks of Crystalis Randomizer fame.

This download contains three files:
- Crystalis Screen Shake Fix (US).ips is for use with the US localized ROM "Crystalis"
- Crystalis Screen Shake Fix (JP).ips is for use with the original JP version of "God Slayer - Sonata of the Distant Heavens"
- Crystalis Screen Shake Fix (JP - English BPS Patched).ips is to be applied AFTER using Stardust Crusaders' English Patch. They ended up expanding the ROM and moving A LOT of things around, and as a result the addresses used for the screen shake fix have been altered. This patch is compatible, while the (JP) one is not.

PLEASE BE SURE TO USE THE CORRECT PATCH WITH THE ROM VERSION YOU ARE USING.

UPDATE: Version 1.0a addresses a game freeze issue and should run seamlessly on all versions now. It is safe to apply this version over your current version.

No more shake!StratosVX2019-09-07Version 1.0a

Thank you! This game has been one of my favorites since I first played it. Watching the screen bounce every time you have to talk to someone while playing on the Raspberry Pi was incredibly annoying. Now I don't have to worry about it any longer. Much appreciated!
