Super Mario Advance 2 - Super Mario World (USA, Australia).gbaHack description
A lot of GBA games were released with brighter colors to accommodate the original GBA's dim screen. This always bothered me, so I thought I'd take matters into my own hands and remedy this. All colors were taken directly from the SNES ROM.Screenshots

| Good for AGS 101 | randys90 | 2023-02-26 | Version 0.91 |
Just like the title says. Hack looks really good with backlit AGS 101
| Very Beautiful | Miriao | 2022-04-24 | Version 0.91 |
It looks very similar to the original SMW game now, and it's the best way to play the game!
| Don't play SMA2 - SMW again without this Restore patch | NelsonPalacios2001 | 2021-12-26 | Version 0.91 |
This restoration patch describes it as it is, it makes the range of colors go from being bright and oversaturated to being a range with the normal brightness and color despite this patch being only version 0.91. So this patch is mandatory if you want to play Super Mario Advance 2 in GBA on emulators. Do not play this game again without this patch - and I have tried it on a European Rom since it is the Spanish language (Spain).
| Fantastic! | pedroash94 | 2020-11-28 | Version 0.91 |
You thought the GBA port of SMW was too bright? Try playing it on an GBA SP AGS 001 like I did back in the day! Thankfully, this simple yet neat path restores the game to its former glory. Granted, the GBA version has its fair share of flaws, but thanks to this hack, this is pretty much the best way to play the game right now. Now go rescue Peach and grab all those Dragon Coins!
| Works with the No-Intro release | twocows | 2019-02-14 | Version 0.91 |
As this says it requires the Mode7 release, which is introed, I wasn't 100% sure if this would work on the proper no-intro release. I tested it and it does seem to work; I compared the unpatched and patched versions using mGBA 0.7.0 and the difference was extremely noticeable. As for the hack itself, it does exactly what it says: it fixes the oversaturated colors and makes the game look like it should. This is extremely important if you're playing on any kind of properly lit screen, since the original version was designed for the unlit GBA screen and is oversaturated to compensate.
| The best way to play. | MagicalFlyingD00d | 2018-10-13 | Version 0.91 |
This is so much better with this patch since it kinda hurts the eyes to see those bright colors.
