Hack description

This hack changes the order of the levels so that you can play every level without missing one.

It also speeds up some of the animations so that you can spend more time playing and less time watching.

It also fixes some minor graphical errors in some of the sprites.

Includes patches for (U) version and (J) (Akumajou Densetsu) version.

Exactly as advertised, an awesome adjustment!Sosuko2021-10-27Version 1.0

As advertised, this hack allows you to play every stage in the game instead of having to pick and choose what path to play. This does result in you refighting several bosses, but aside from that, it's great to be able to get the full experience of the game in one sitting. Also, the quality of life feature of making switching super fast is much appreciated.

If you're in a Castlevania III mood, I highly recommend this hack for a definitive experience!

Makes for an epic playthoughtimeisup2020-04-24Version 1.0

I've dreamt of this for a long time. Maybe since it came out. The ability to play through all the levels (or blocks) straight through was awesome. I played the Japanese version and played through both quests. That's 20 blocks or 32 levels. And they aren't short either. You get to appreciate just how big Castlevania III is, while being able to meet all 3 spirit partners, without having to restart the game via a different route.

It's a little odd and confusing at first when the fork-in-the-road screens show up anyway. I guess there was no way to get rid of them, would have been nice. No matter, either path will still take you to the next level. I could have done without the fast door and spirit transitions. The way it was done in the original game was so satisfying especially the sound. Anyway, a great patch for a great game.

The definitive Castlevania 3 experience!MetalSmasher862020-02-09Version 1.0

Castlevania 3 is my favorite Castlevania game, but even then there are levels that I rarely ever play, like the Clock Tower level where you get Grant, or Grant's stage 6-01 (go up at the crossroads after meeting Alucard). Thanks to this hack, I'm able to play all 15 levels in the game all at once without having to worry about certain levels being locked out of any playthrough!

Refreshing - be careful with passwordsthunder1352019-10-26Version 1.0

This is a blast to play through. It is really satisfying to sit down and play every level in the game without having to repeat some of the earlier levels every time. I highly recommend this if you have played through the game several times already and are looking for something new. For your first play of Castlevania III, I would still recommend the vanilla game.

It made me realize there were a few levels I rarely got to play during a normal playthrough, such as level 5-7 (right after Alucard, avoiding the sunken city). Also, you get to meet all three characters on one sitting!

While I applaud the speed-up changes to the character change and door transition, I do wish they were optional. Personally, I love the sound effect of the vanilla character change so an option to have just the linear game without those extras would be nice.

Passwords work just as they do on the vanilla game. However, if you are playing the Japanese version be warned that the Japanese game will not allow you to use a password with an impossible character-level combination (this is a quirk of the vanilla game, nothing to do with the hack). For example, no password will get you to first quest level 6-1 (very bottom of castle) with Sypha. I recorded my own password and it would not work. I confirmed it was correct with a password generator, and I even tried one on gamefaqs. Note that the special names to start on level 1 with a character do not work on the Japanese version, so it is literally impossible to have Sypha on first quest level 6-1 without cheats or glitches in the vanilla game. So use save states to avoid this or use a no-character password.

It Is A Welcome Change!Morinis2019-10-24Version 1.0

You can literally play through the entire game without going through the forks in the road. Already tried this on 4 projects of mine and they're all compatible, even reVamp (though be careful if too much is done beforehand as things will need programming adjustments.)

I highly recommend this beauty to play through and to be used for projects. Just be sure to reference the chap for it as I'll be doing just that for mine :D

Simply fantastic, works just as advertised. If you've ever played this game and felt annoyed that you had to choose between paths, this is for you. Works in conjunction with several other romhacks like Curse of the Moon and the English patch.
