As described, the patch not only changes the voices but completely changes all the terminology back to Japanese. I've honestly been a fan of Mega Man since the 90s, and very rarely have I seen someone who detests the term "Mega Man" to prefer "Rockman". I believe that what many are looking for would be to make ZXA return to being similar to ZX, English but with Japanese voices. Unfortunately there's no option to apply a patch to just change the voices. So if you're desperately trying to get rid of this awful dub, you'll need to play the game with completely different terminology than other games. | |||

Works flawlessly just as advertised, with well-done subtitled cutscenes, but there's a catch: all the terminology is replaced to match the Japanese. This is perplexing to me, for two reasons: 1) Nobody who downloads this is doing it because they're a purist who hates localization. They're doing it because the English voiceover is awful. So having to choose between awful voice acting or wrong terminology is annoying. There's no reason an optional patch couldn't have preserved the original dialogue. 2) English terminology is kept in in-game graphics, such as names on text boxes. Aeolus is still called Aeolus, even though the dialogue says Helios. So what's the point? It's just gonna be confusing for a new player. This issue may seem minor in comparison to the impressive work that was done, but it really does sour the experience for me. | |||
