Works Great and is ComprehensiveMkol1032024-01-02Version 1.0

I had heard a few complaints about certain games not being playable with this mod, but that's not really true. In my experience, the only game with any problems was the optional airboarder, because holding a duck before jumping didn't seem to work (idk if this affects score or not). Rockers 2, the game I was the most worried about not working due to it using the R button, worked perfectly. I think a transition in one of the remixes didn't work seemlessly, but that is a really minor thing. All in all, I just beat the game yesterday and I didn't play a single game with the touch screen.

A simple but invaluable hack for anyone who prefers the button controls of Tengoku and Megamix, or who gets uncomfortable holding the DS in Tsunku's desired position for extended periods. The best part is that the touch controls still work perfectly well, so you can still enjoy the games that you find more fun/intuitive/easy with them! I can never go back to my old cartridge. This hack has spoiled me.

Technically does what it saysthanksgoogle2021-04-05Version 1.0

It should be noted that the whole game cannot be played just with buttons using this patch. Only the rhythm games themselves can be controlled with buttons; menus or tapping the screen to progress messages or tutorials still need to be controlled with the touch screen. But for the most part, this patch fulfills its purpose, since some feel that "flicking" is less responsive than pushing a button, especially on emulators.

The only minor improvements I can think of that could be added would be for the "tap" function to work outside of games, and letting the Select button skip tutorials as in the other Rhythm Haven games. I imagine it wouldn't be feasible to make menu navigation compatible with buttons without significantly reprogramming the game, so that is fine as is.

This review originally stated that you could not play games like Love Lizards or Love Lab in which you need to move the stylus up and down, but that is not the case. These games can be played by holding Y or A and pressing L or R.

Perfect hack, makes it possible to play on an emulatorAndroid72020-07-11Version 1.0

When I first tried playing the game on an emulator, I found it pretty much impossible to play using a mouse. I found this hack when looking for a solution, and it works pretty much perfectly.

You can use A, Y, Up or Down instead of tapping, and B or Left instead of flicking. You can also use L and R to slide up and down, which is useful for minigames like Love Lizards and Love Lab.

One very minor annoyance is that you still have to manually tap the screen to progress through dialog screens, like at the beginning of a practice or after you've finished a minigame. This is a very insignificant issue however, and doesn't affect overall gameplay in any way.

This is a perfect hack, and it made my experience with this game much more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise.
