Hack description

This hack restores the original cross weapon sprite from the Japanese version, and it also fixes the text up a bit to be less Engrish sounding as well.

The 0xED hex editor was used to restore the sprite and fix up the text.

The best kind of improvement patch.Mr. Pennington2019-12-10Version Final

This is a perfect example of what every improvement patch should do: restore missing/altered content, fix obvious errors, and make it seem as though that's how the game always was. It drives me absolutely insane when hackers feel the need to insert their handle in the credits, or a "copyright" year well beyond the game's release, or when they take artistic liberties with the dialogue/game design, etc. The point should be creating the illusion of authenticity and a more "pure" experience, which is precisely what this patch does. It felt like the same game I've been playing since the '80s, simply without Nintendo's egregious censorship or Capcom's extraordinarily lazy translation. Well done!
