Hack description

This DX EDITION has the following improvements:
- Sonic replaces Has-Bean (art by E-122-Psi).
- New and improved dialog for Dr. Robotnik and his 12 Robots.
- Red X marks are placed on the dungeon areas (aka player's boards) to indicate where you must NOT place a Bean.
- In OPTIONS, you can select to use the ORIGINAL dialog, or the DX EDITION dialog. You can also choose to display the USA or UK spelling of words (like color colour).
- In OPTIONS, you can activate Colorblind Mode. Support for: Tritanopia, Protanopia, and Deuteranopia.
- During SCENARIO MODE, the name of your opponent is displayed during battle.
- The SOUND TEST is available to select in OPTIONS.
- The MUSIC and VOICE tracks in the SOUND TEST each have a Track Name.
- The unused music is now used.
- The game supports SRAM to save HIGH SCORES, PASSWROD, and Options Settings.
- The Region Check has been disabled so it will run on any region Sega Genesis / Sega Mega Drive consoles.
- Changed the Serial Number in the header so a different Blue Sphere stage will be generated when connected to SONIC & KNUCKLES.
- Changed all the PASSWORDS.
- Added website link on SOUND TEST to: www.shc.zone
- Fixed a bug when entering a High Score so you can only select letters A to Z.
- Fixed a bug in SCENARIO MODE where the AI loses its ability to manually drop Beans if the other controller is holding left or right.
- Player 1's font is now blue, while Player's 2 font is now red.
- Other miscellaneous changes.

Man, this has a lot of work put into it, I remember playing it (and the RHS edition created by someone else) when it came out back in 2020 (I believe) , there's a lot of stuff I probably could have done to spice things up if I were part of the dev team, hehe (But... I don't have any experience in ROM hacking at all) , I rate this as (the least we can get to) the definitive version of DRMBM, thank you for reading my review, and have a nice day... I'll admit here and now that Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine wasn't a big favorite of mine... until this rom hack arrived! Many simple yet effective improvements turn this game into a lot more than just Dr. Robotnik slapped into Puyo Puyo. I love the new dialogue, the restored music and Sonic the Hedgehog filling in for Has-Bean. You can save your options and high scores, too. It's the closest thing to a director's cut, and now I play it just as much as the original Japanese Puyo Puyo releases for the Mega Drive! Keep up the great work!
