This hack is mandatory for anyone playing Super Circuit in modern day. The darker colors in this hack look much closer to the official Mario cast character designs. You also can't understate how much easier this is on your eyes, especially if you're looking to play this game for longer than 10 minutes or so. This comes highly recommended for anyone looking to play Super Circuit. When paired with the "Localized Voices" hack, you have the definitive version of this GBA title.

This patch allows the color gamut of the sprites of the characters, karts and objects to go from being bright to normal although the range of colors is still bright like the menus, circuits and the HUD.

PS: This Patch is Compatible with gamemasterplc's Widescreen (Anamorphic) Patch.

The colors have bothered me in this game for years. This change is subtle but absolutely improves it.

The game looks more alive, nide hack

I feel I can play this on my DS and even anywhere now with this patch as the colors really pop compared to the washed out, unflattering color pallette that was chosen. I understand why this happened but nowadays, most people play these classics on systems that have backlights and the washed out colors really can mar your experience and that's why for a long time, I didn't touch this game again. That was one of the contributing factors by the way.

With this update, the game looks as it should've did all those years ago and the game despite its flaws, looks really nice now. I hate that this game gets so much flak from longtime fans due to some poor decisions being made but now, this fix makes it more easier on the eyes and more fun!
