There is an ingenious solution for switching weapons in EV Jim2. The keys X, Y and Z (and also MODE) are involved there. Switch forward, fast switch to standard weapon, switch back, fast switch to favorite weapon. It's genius! Here we use the B + C + DOWN buttons. Jim jumps around like crazy, the weapon scrolls extremely fast, and if there is only one weapon (standard), then the ammo disappears to zero and back, like it's a glitch. Eh...

It is a well-intentioned QoL hack, but its functionality is poor. Often you'll be stuck in place for a few seconds as you attempt to switch weapons, before lucking out and landing on the one you want.

I'm not sure about the difficulty in implementing it, but perhaps using X, Y, or Z on the six-button pad would be a less hacky solution.

Thanks for attempting this! I've been hoping someone would do this hack for years but this just doesn't really work well. Pressing down+B+C is awkward and the main problem is it doesn't just change your weapon, it very rapidly toggles between all of your weapons so it becomes very difficult to end up with the weapon you want when you have a few different weapon types. It is just frustrating and slows down the pace of the game. If it could work like the weapon select hack for EW Jim 2 that would be fantastic.
